Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Waad Mahmoud Raouf, President of Tikrit University, and the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Mahmoud Maher Saleh, Dean of the College of Computer Science and Mathematics, and Assistant Professor Dr. Sayyaf Abdul Hussein, Director of the Continuing Education Center, and with the follow-up of the Head of the Cybersecurity Department, the College of Computer Science and Mathematics, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center, organized a “Best Password” competition for students of the Cybersecurity Department. The competition took place this morning, Tuesday, November 4, 2025, in the college's classrooms.
The competition aimed to foster a spirit of positive competition among students in the field of cybersecurity, raise awareness of the importance of creating strong and secure passwords, and encourage them to adopt best practices for protecting their digital accounts. This initiative is part of the college's efforts to promote digital literacy and develop the practical skills of its students, under the slogan:
“Create a strong password and be the first line of defense in your cybersecurity.”
The competition results were as follows:
🔹 First Place:
Daniel Mustafa Abdullah, Muhammad Muthanna Fanar, Ayman Muhammad Atiya, Al-Hussein Ahmed Khudair.
🔹 Second Place:
Saif Jamal Fadhil, Yasser Ammar Thaer, Hamza Qaisar Naseer, Muhammad Hussein Abdul.
🔹 Third Place:
Mustafa Fadhil Hamed, Yousef Jumaa Mahmoud, Ayman Thaer Ghazal, Talal Ghassan Abdullah.
🔹 Fourth Place:
Omar Yazan Saleh, Mustafa Adel Jassim, Hammam Sabah Hazza, Muath Sufyan Hussein.
At the conclusion of the competition, the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Mahmoud Maher Saleh, commended the efforts of the participating and winning students. The Head of the Cybersecurity Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Musab Lazam Shondi, also praised the skills demonstrated by the students in creating strong passwords. For his part, the Dean of the College sent them letters of thanks and appreciation in recognition of their creativity and awareness of the importance of cybersecurity in the digital age.
